Ireland St. Patrick's Week Sample Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Shannon

Arrive at Shannon Airport from USA. You are greeted by professional English speaking guides.

Transfer by luxury touring coach to Killarney via picturesque village of Adare. Arrive in Killarney and check in to hotel.

Depart Killarney town center in several jaunting carts and travel to Muckross House. A wonderful opportunity to meet the local country men and hear their jokes and tales.

A guided tour is arranged at Muckross House.

Return transfer by coach to Hotel.

Return transfer by coach to Hotel. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 2 Blarney Castle Tour/Day at leisure in Killarney

Full Irish breakfast at hotel.

Optional tour to Blarney:

Depart Killarney for Cork and visit to kiss the famous Blarney Stone which according to legend brings the gift of eloquence.

Tour of Blarney Castle and spend time at Blarney Woolen Mills which houses the best selection of Irish goods.

Depart Blarney and return to Killarney through the Derrynasaggart Mountains.

Return to hotel.

Depart hotel and transfer to Abbey hotel in the nearby village of Ballyvourney.

Enjoy three course evening meal at the Hotel.

We are joined by a local Irish dancing instructor and a group of local traditional dancers and musicians. Enjoy an evening display of Irish step dancing and traditional music. Afterwards a chance for everyone to learn a few steps from instructor and participate in the fun.

Return for overnight at hotel.

Day 3 Ring of Kerry

Full Irish breakfast at hotel.

Depart on full day tour of the lovely Ring of Kerry, famous for the beauty of its coastal and mountain scenery. Visit a smoked salmon factory in Killorglin, a pretty riverside village famous for the annual "Puck" or horse fair.

Continue through Glenbeigh, with its spectacular views and long sandy beaches and through the seaside village of Waterville. Continue through Sneem, voted Ireland's tidiest town and certainly one of the prettiest villages, with colorful houses and shops se around a village green. Continue to the market town of Kenmare, a treasure trove of curio shops. Return to Killarney.

Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 4 Arrive Dublin

Full Irish breakfast at hotel.

Depart Killarney for Dublin travelling via Cashel medieval capital of Munster, where famous ecclestiastical ruins, known as the Rock of Cashel, date back to the 10th century and dominate the surrounding Tipperary countryside, for many miles.

A guided tour is arranged at the Rock of Cashel where St. Patrick, according to legend first used the shamrock to illustrate his teachings on the doctrine of the Trinity.

Enjoy a morning stop at Bru Boru visitor center where you will be served scones, tea or coffee.

Depart Cashel and continue onwards to Dublin travelling through the horsebreeding country of Kildare, where some of the world's most famous and most valuable race horses are bred.

Arrive in Dubling. Dinner under own arrangements.

Overnight at Hotel.

Day 5 St. Patrick's Day

Full Irish breakfast at hotel. Depart hotel and transfer to city where the festivities all begin. Join in St. Patrick's Day Parade and monster Ceili (exact details and timings to be advised) Optional: Youth Disco for all who have travelled and participated in our National Parade.

Dinner under own arrangements.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 6 Dublin City Tour

Full Irish breakfast at hotel.

Depart hotel and enjoy a panoramic city tour of Dublin tracing its history from early Viking origins through the medieval magnificence of St. Patricks Cathedral to the 16th Century Trinity College.

Visit to St. Patrick's Cathedral in Christchurch.

Enjoy a guided tour of Trinity College and view the Book of Kells.

Afternoon at leisure in Dubling.

Dinner under own arrangements.

Optional Johnnie Fox's Evening:

Depart Hotel by coach and transfer to Johnnie Fox's Pub in the Wicklow Mountains. Dublin's highest pub approx. 30 minutes drive south of the city. A wonderful pub filled with curios and antiques. The dinner is served at 7:30 pm and the show starts at 9:00 pm.

Overnight at Hotel

Day 7 Dublin/Galway

Full Irish breakfast in hotel.

Depart Dublin and travel to Galway. Day visit to Galway City.

A guided tour of Kylemore Abbey is arranged.

Dinner and overnight at Menlo Park Hotel

Day 8 Galway/Limerick

Full Irish breakfast served at hotel.

Depart Galway city and into Co Clare, "land of castles," travelling through the strange lunar landscape of the Burren region, a limestone karst, rich in archaeological remains and rare flora.

Enjoy a picturesque stop at the Cliffs of Moher.

Continue onwards through Lahinch to Bunratty.

Enjoy a visit to 15th century Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.

An opportunity for your group to parade around the grounds of one of our most precious and famous national monuments.

Depart the village of Bunratty and transfer to Hotel for check-in.

Transfer by coach to Bunratty Castle for evening banquet and entertainment.

Medieval banquet commences.

Return transfer to hotel afterwards.

Overnight at hotel

Day 9 Depart Ireland

Full Irish breakfast at hotel.

Depart hotel and transfer to Shannon Airport.

Return to USA with fond memories of your trip to Ireland.

Optional days in London with performance(s) - Windsor Castle, Beefeaters Banquet and other choices.

Parades of Lights - England and Scotland Sample Itinerary

Day 1 USA/London

Overnight flight from the USA to London. Dinner and breakfast served inflight.

Day 2 Arrival London

Early morning arrival at London's Gatwick Airport.

On arrival at the airport you are met by your tour managers and private motorcoaches. A baggage truck will also be provided for the transportation of the instruments.

Depart the airport and journey to central London. En route you will enjoy a three hour introductory tour of London to include all the major sights, with plenty of photo opportunities - Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, and of course the Tower of London.

Approximate arrival at the International Hotel in Docklands for check in.

Dinner at the hotel.

Day 3 London/Manchester

Continental breakfast is provided in the hotel this morning.

Meet with your tour guides in the hotel lobby this morning for departure north. Depart London for your tour of England, heading first for Stratford-upon-Avon.

Your tour guides will give you a tour of Stratford, including a visit to Shakespeare's birhthplace.

After your guided tour, you will have some free time for lunch and for shopping before meeting with the coaches.

Meet with your coaches for departure to Manchester.

Approximate arrival in Manchester, where your guides will assist with check-in.

Dinner is provided at the hotel this evening.

There is also a television and video in this room for you to watch after dinner. A selection of videos will also be available.

Day 4 Manchester/Edinburgh

Full English breakfast is provided this morning.

Depart Manchester for the 6 hour drive to Edinburgh.

On arrival in Edinburgh, you will have some free time to explore Scotland's capital and its shops. There are enough Edinburgh City and Scotland maps for one between two.

Dinner is provided in the hotel this evening.

Day 5 Edinburgh

Full Scottish breakfast is provided in the hotel this morning.

Meet with your tour guides and coaches for departure into Edinburgh City Centre.

Approximate finish at the school. Meet with your motorcoaches for return transfer to your hotels.

An early dinner is served in the hotel this evening.

Enjoy a ghost walk around the streets of Edinburgh this evening.

Day 6 Edinburgh/York

Full Scottish breakfast is served in the hotel this morning.

Depart Edinburgh and head for York.

Approximate arrival time in York. You will have time for lunch before meeting with your guides again.

Your tour guides will give you a guided tour of York.

At the end of your tour, the coaches will transfer you to St. Sampson's Centre in the Shambles where changing rooms have been arranged. You will be able to leave your day clothes at the Centre whilst you perform. Arthur Robinson, the warden will meet you at the Centre and a Council representative will come to the Centre to escort you to King's Square.

A late afternoon performance is scheduled in York city centre. The venue we have hired is the King's Square area. Today marks the start of Old St. Nics fair in the City, so there will be craft stalls all throughout the streets and all the shops will be open into the evening.

A representative from York City Council will meet you in King's Square to escort you to the meeting point for the start of the mini-parade through York.

Parade begins and processes down Parliament Square before making its way to St Helen's Square and Mansion House. Mansion House is the Lord Mayor's residence.

The switching on of the lights will be done here by the Lord Mayor of York. And will be accompanied by a live broadcast on "Minster FM," York's local radio station. After the switching on of the lights, there will be an opportunity for the group to present the City of York with a momento of their visit.

After the performance you will be escorted back to the Center where you may change out of your uniforms before meeting up with the coaches and journeying to the hotel.

Meet with the coaches for transfer to Harrogate.

Approximate arrival at the Harrogate Moat House where your guides will assist with check-in.

Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7 York/Peterborough

Full English breakfast is served in the hotel this morning.

Depart York and head for Peterborough.

Arrival in Peterborough and check in to the hotel. There will be some free time to explore Peterborough. There will be a city map for you to ensure that you don't get lost!

Meet back at the hotel to change into uniform and transfer to Peterborough Catherdral.

The group will lead the parade for the Peterborough Christmas Lights Festival. We anticipate that the day's activities will also include a Civic Reception hosted by the Mayor.

Special Thanksgiving Day dinner at the hotel.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Peterborough/London

Full English breakfast is served in the hotel this morning. Return to London where we arrive in time to spend the whole afternoon at leisure shopping and exploring the sites of one of the world's greatest capital cities.

Dinner at the hotel.

Option: Disco at the hotel in a private room.

Day 8 London/USA

Continental breakfast is served in the hotel this morning.

Meet with your guides in the hotel lobby for transfer to Gatwick airport for the return flight to the USA.

Hawaii Parades and Performances Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arrival, get our first experience of the Aloha Spirit with a traditional fresh flower lei greeting. Board buses for transfer to hotel. 6 PM Waikiki Beach orientation with meal and entertainment. Lear hula and enjoy a brief introduction to Hawaiian instruments.

Day 2

Good morning! No, you’re not dreaming—you’re still in paradise!. This morning, as with every morning you’ll have your choice of breakfast buffet or breakfast made to order. We’re off to Hilo Hattie’s Fashion Center to learn where all the muumuus and aloha shirts are made. This is a great place to grab souvenirs. Some afternoon beach time is anxiously awaited.

Head over to the Aloha Tower Market—Oahu’s latest mall. Optional performance is scheduled here. Board open air trolleys for the ride back to Waikiki. Dinner at hotel..
Dinner at the Shorebird Beach Broiler Restaurant for dinner.

Day 3

Board buses for transfer to Pearl Harbor’s U.S.S. Arizona Memorial to see where history was made. We’ll see the film “Pearl Harbor Story”, the visitor center museum, boarding a Navy launch and entering the memorial. Witness the actual sunken hull where over 1,000 servicemen wee entombed during the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. We continue with a visit to the USS Missouri.

You will do a performance and afterwards board buses to take the Honolulu City Tour. Drive pass the Iolani Palace, the only royal palace on American soil, the King Kamehameha Statue, Hawaii State Capitol, and through China Town.

Food and Fun! Enjoy a delicious, catered BBQ at a local favorite. This ocean front park offers close-up views of passing boats, surfers and a great panoramic sunset. After a short walk to an adjacent market center and ice cream stop, we PARTY as we enjoy a dance cruise along the Honolulu Harbor.
Day 4

This afternoon, we will be spotlighted as we perform at the Ala Moana Center, the world’s largest open-air mall. It is the most frequented center in the Islands. Perform before an international audience.

Lunch on own and FREE TIME! Enjoy pizza dinner by the pool and relax. Optional activity: Society of Seven Show. A great show of music, humor, impersonations and surprises.

Day 5

Today will do the North Shore Tour and visit the Dole Pineapple Pavilion. Narrated tour of Old Haleiwa Town Surfing Village and a picture stop at the world famous Sunset Pipeline or Waimea Bay. Trek the fertile central valley of Oahu and on to the North Shore surfing beaches, where surfers take on waves of 10-15 feet!

A visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center is a cultural awakening. Stroll through seven authenticated villages of the South Pacific. After a full buffet dinner, you’ll be spotlighted as you perform before an international audience. Then sit back and experience the “Magic of Polynesia” an extravaganza featuring 200 performers.

Day 6

Optional day for Parade groups. Participate in a Waikiki Parade in Oahu. Dates of parades are:
Celebration of Youth Parade—late March, early April
Merrie Monarch Parade (in Hilo)—Saturday after Easter
Pan Pacific Parade—June
Thanksgiving Day Parade—Thanksgiving

Day 7

Start stretching as we prepare to hike about 3/4 of a mile to the 760 foot summit of Diamond Head. Bring your camera for a fantastic 360 degree view of the southeast coast. See the lighthouse, coral reefs, sailboats, and even surfers.

Go Native! Become a part of “America’s Best Luau” as filmed by ABC’s Good Morning America. At Germaine’s Luau you’ll learn to dance the popular Hukilau hula. Help yourself to a 16-course buffet. All you can eat of traditional Island dishes and continental cuisine for the less adventurous eaters.

Day 8

Time this morning for some last minute sunbathing or shopping before afternoon departure to the airport. Leave with fond memories of your trip to Hawaii.
